Artist, Homesteader, prepper, farmer, rancher, author, great cook, gardener, easy keeper, animal lover, homemaker, healer, fisher woman, archer, good shot, keeper of chickens, sheep, goats, horses, a donkey, llama, turkeys, a great dog, a couple of cats and any other critter in need. I believe in being as self sufficient as possible and live my life with the mottoes of the depression, Use it up, make it do, make it over or do without. And, don't cry over spilled milk. Just call the cat and open another bottle. Don't get me wrong I can be tough as nails, doing what has to be done to keep me and mine safe and alive. Everything I do is for survival in a not so secure future. From growing and raising our own food to canning and preserving it, I do it all. I can make candles, soap, catch fish, shoot deer, dress it and cook it. So, even though I sound soft, I am tough. I just know when to be either one.

Yes, I am a different kind of woman, I am creative, intelligent and down to earth. I am a spiritual person who loves Mother Nature and all she has to give us and I respect her. I love living by the rhythms of the seasons, making the most of each one. I have empathy and compassion for all her creatures and give thanks for their births and thanks for the reasons they are here to make our lives better. I enjoy the country life and whether I am churning butter, canning or breathing the scent of fresh baked bread, I am happy with my life. I am a wildlife artist and love committing what I see and feel to paper, wood or canvas. I have many of my works hanging in venues around the world. Moments like watching my horses run in their pasture or milking the goats, or just sitting on the front porch watching the sun go down brings joy to me. I am young at heart and have many more years to give a companion on the road of life's journey. How are your hiking boots?
